I was initially a bit skeptical about ordering these earrings at such a marked down price from a company without too much feedback, but my worries were quickly disproved. The earrings arrived on time and they shipped just a few hours after placing the order! The diamonds have no visible flaws and are definitely the VS1+ quality that is listed. They are absolutely beautiful and my girlfriend LOVES them. I would certainly recommend these earrings, especially at such a great price!

I looked at different sellers who were selling Black Diamond Stud Earrings and the reviews were mixed. This one got a good review even though I’ll be the second to review it, but with the price I was willing to take a chance. When it comes to jewelry I like to see it in person, but there were not much jewerly places that had Black Diamond Stud Earrings that I was looking for. With that said I am very pleased, I recieved my earring 2 days early. I inspected the earrings and from what I can see there were no marks, both earrings were the same size, it was BRAND NEW. I rarely see guys wearing Black Diamond Stud Earrings its usually just the regular diamond earrings. I wanted something different and standout from the rest of the crowed. I just put them on at work and I’ve gotten compliments already from my lady coworkers. So if your a guy looking at getting Black Diamond Stud Earrings, I’d say don’t hesitate and just get them. I definetly recommend these earrings.

|Very Obvious Flaws on Diamond, and Gold not very yellow for 14k,
Since I am writing a review anyway, I have to echo what another reviewer said about the packaging being cheap. Of course I had read the reviews, so when I bought the earrings I also spent another $10 or so on a nice box elsewhere on Amazon.
Unfortunately, I now have a box with no earrings.
First off, I have alot of nice jewelry, and should have known that I wouldn’t get great merchandise for 149, but I figured I would give it a shot. Honestly though, the backs of the earrings were so cheap and flimsy that one of them just fell off. There is no excuse for this. Though one fifty isn’t the most money in the world, it is enough that you don’t want it just falling right off your ear. Not to mention the heartache of someone losing one (or both) of the earrings she was given as a present. Good thing this wasn’t the only present I had planned; else I might be out of luck.
As for the earring itself, the gold was not very yellow at all… and if it is truly 14k I expected it to be much more yellow than it was. I took the earrings into three different rooms to look at it under different lights, as at first I thought they had sent me white gold by accident.
Then, as I was looking at the color of the gold (not even examining the diamonds yet, mind you) I notice a significant blemish on the face of one diamond. Looking more closely, I found another blemish on the same diamond. Not tiny inclusions you need a magnifier to see, but a chip on the side and a gouge on the face… large enough to capture with the camera on my cell phone!
The color of the diamond was neither amazing nor terrible. And honestly, given the price, if I could have returned one diamond for replacement and kept the other, I might have done so. But I had to return them both and take a refund. Right now, the fact that I have an empty cartier-style box tempts me to try my luck again (and update my review). But unless the next set is proper 14k gold with good solid (and tight) backs, with two diamonds of great color and finish quality, I would likely just be trying to return those as well.

12/25/2011 Update to 12/12 review:
The seller contacted me and offered for me to buy from them directly, claiming that the reason for the problems was because the first pair was shipped by Amazon. Though I was a bit leery, I did agree and paid them the same price via the Paypal invoice they sent me. I must say that the replacement earrings they sent were much better. Although there are some visible inclusions particularly in one of them, the earrings look nice and have no fscratches or chips visible on the surface. Also, the backs are much nicer… the kind of backs you would expect with most earrings, and not the cheap foil backings that came with the first pair. The box they sent with the replacement pair was also much nicer, and would be a perfectly acceptable presentation for the earrings as a gift.
